My Story

My name is Oleksiy, and allow me to share with you the story of how I fell in love with the art of woodworking.

I remember my school days, a moment frozen in time when I was just 13 years old. There I stood at the workbench, a jigsaw in my hand, carving yet another project out of plywood. Upon completing my work, my woodworking teacher approached me and handed me a book with words that would resonate deeply within me: "You should continue with this craft." The book was about woodworking for beginners. However, after graduating from high school, I chose a different path.

For many years, I delved into the world of creativity, crafting journals, collages, print materials, and websites, breathing life into my creative potential. I studied diligently and immersed myself in graphic design, which eventually led to my first job, a portfolio, and invaluable experience.

Yet, something was missing.

Have you ever felt that you’ve lost the joy in your work? I was drawn to the creation of tangible things, to the realm of the physical. And for several years now, with boundless love and devotion, I have been crafting unique interior pieces. Despite the challenges and perils that come with this demanding and sometimes treacherous craft, I persevered through months of setbacks, only to realize that this was my true path.

When I mill wood, revealing its intricate grain, I lose myself in the process. I spend hours perfecting every surface, ensuring its smoothness. And as the final touch, I apply a coat of oil – the crowning jewel. In that moment, I find genuine bliss.

I may not be a professional by definition, but my soul resides within these creations.

A person must pursue what they love to achieve greatness. I don’t work for money, I need money to fulfill my work.
